QUALIFICATIONS:

NURSES

4Minimum of two years recent OR, PACU, or ICU experience
4Licensure or Certification in the State of Texas
4Current CPR Certification and TB Test


SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST

4Minimum of two years recent OR experience
4Current CPR Certification and TB Test


PNI SCREENING:

All Nursing and Surgical Technician Applicants are carefully screened. The minimum requirements are:

42 years of recent experience in your specialty
4Current Texas nursing license or certification (as applicable)
4CPR Card/ACIS
4TB test result
4Annual mandatory in-service training, including: OSHA, HIPPA, safety, and age specific patient care.


Each applicant must complete an application form and the self-inventory of skills and experience (Competency Skills List).

Once the minimum requirements are verified, we will schedule an interview with you. This extensive interview covers your past professional work experience regarding specific skills and expertise.

PNI requires all employees to pass a competency screening examination based on their specific technical or nursing specialty and a medications test. A score of 80 percent or above is required for employment. These tests are based on professional nursing standards and practices utilizing common medications.

Drug screening, Group I criminal background screening, reference and licensure verification are performed for successful applicants.

QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR STAFFING COMPANY:

4Are the agency's staff members employees or independent contractors?
4What is the company's pre-employment screening policy?
4What screening process was actually used to hire their staff? (Ask some of their current staff members.)
If the staff are independent contractors, does the company have a worker's compensation and malpractice insurance certificate on each individual?
4Do you know the difference between occupational accident insurance and worker's compensation insurance?
4Are all credentials current on every staff member?
